  Future Music Festival

Another popular festival in Sydney is the Future Music Festival which has long been a crowd favourite. Future Music Festival is an Australian dance music festival, usually held in February and March which caters for the worlds best artists of the future.   Big Day Out

The Big Day Out provides a wide array of music genres from Contemporary Rock through to Electronic music and Hip Hop. This music festival first started in Sydney back in 1992 on the Australia Day public holiday and has since gone from strength to strength, boasting great acts such as Nirvana, Metallica and the Black Eyed Peas. The 2013 line-up includes acts Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, B.O.B and Nicky Romero.

The Parklife festival was first held in a park in the year 2000. It was started because people wanted to share music with other open minded people in a beautiful outdoor setting amongst grass, trees and brilliant blue skies, in the heart of the city. The Defqon.1 music festival is held annually in the Netherlands and Sydney, Australia. Founded in 2003, the festival plays mainly hardstyle music such as hardcore techno, jumpstyle and hard trance. Soundwave is a music festival held across major cities in Australia including Sydney. The festival caters for mostly Rock, Metal and Punk music and was first started in 2007. Since the Soundwave festival began, it has hosted a number of great musicians and rock bands including The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World and Iron Maiden.
